MS-06S Char's Zaku II
This high-performance version of the Zaku II is designed exclusively for squadron commanders and veteran pilots. Although it has more powerful thrusters and a greater propellant supply than the standard Zaku II, the only external difference is the communications antenna on its forehead. Lieutenant Commander Char Aznable - the famous "Red Comet" - pilots this commander's version of the Zaku II, painted in his trademark colors.

MS-06F Zaku II
The Zaku II is the Principality of Zeon's standard mass-produced mobile suit. Its maneuverability and heavy weaponry make it more than a match for the Earth Federation's conventional forces. At the start of the war, Zeon's Zakus wiped out the Earth Federation's space fleet and overran two-thirds of the planet's surface, and over the following months the Zaku II has been adapted into several variants for space, land, and even underwater combat. However, it proves to be hopelessly outclassed by the Federation's prototype mobile suits, and Zeon's developers begin phasing out the classic Zaku in favor of newer mobile suit designs.

MS-05 Zaku I
The Zaku I is the original incarnation of the Zaku, produced a few years before the start of the war. Now considered obsolete, it's used only by non-combat units like the supply corps. One of these primitive Zakus is assigned to Lieutenant Gadem's Papua-class supply ship, and the old veteran recklessly takes it into battle against the Gundam.

Battleship Magellan
Armament:
dual main cannon x 7
dual machine gun x 14
The Magellan is the powerhouse of the Federation Space Force, a large, heavily-armed space battleship that's often used as a flagship by fleet commanders. The Magellan is equipped with seven main gun turrets and 14 anti-aircraft machine gun turrets, but all its firepower can't protect this mighty warship from Zeon's mobile suits.

Cruiser Salamis
Armament:
main cannon x 6
dual machine gun x 6
missile launchers x 2
The Salamis, smaller and less heavily armed than the Magellan, makes up the bulk of the Earth Federation's space fleet. Its standard armament includes six main guns, six anti-aircraft machine gun turrets, and two missile launchers, but it can also be refitted for reconnaissance and other special missions. Like the Magellan, the Salamis carries a small atmospheric re-entry capsule on its underside.

Assault Carrier White Base
Overall length: 250 meters
Overall width: 110 meters
Overall height: 97 meters
Full weight: 68,000 tons
Armament: 580mm dual main cannon
dual mega particle cannon x 2
missile launcher x 24
anti-air machine guns
This Pegasus-class mobile assault carrier, the besieged home of our crew of young heroes, is the first Earth Federation warship designed to carry mobile suits into battle. Its decks can hold up to nine mobile suits and fighters, and its armament includes a main gun turret, two mega particle cannons, a battery of missile launchers, and countless anti-aircraft guns. Thanks to its Minovsky craft system, the White Base can survive the heat of atmospheric re-entry, and then float effortlessly across the surface of the Earth. The soldiers of the Principality of Zeon, unaware of its true name, give the White Base the nickname "Trojan Horse."

G-Armor
Pilots: Sayla Mass
Sleggar Law
After witnessing the combat success of the RX-78 Gundam, the Earth Federation's engineers create a set of upgrade parts for the prototype mobile suit. When the Gundam docks with this assembly of additional weapons, armor, and thruster engines, it forms the fighting machine known as the G-Armor. When separated from the Gundam, the upgrade parts become the self-sufficient G-Fighter. The components of the Gundam and G-Armor can also recombine to form a variety of specialized fighting vehicles, such as the tank-like G-Bull and the G-Sky fighter.

FF-X7 Core Fighter
Overall length: 8.6 meters
Wingspan: 6.8 meters
Overall height: 3.2 meters
Full weight: 8.9 tons
Armament: 25mm vulcan gun x 4
missile launcher x 2
Pilots: Amuro Ray
Ryu Jose
This tiny aerospace fighter doubles as a cockpit for the Earth Federation's Gundam, Guncannon, and Guntank mobile suits. Thanks to the Core Block system used in these prototype mobile suits, the cockpit module can eject and unfold into a fighter plane, allowing the pilot and vital test data to escape to safety. While it's armed with four vulcan guns and a pair of missile launchers, only a truly reckless pilot would deliberately take a Core Fighter into battle.

RB-79 Ball
The Ball is a mass-produced "mobile pod" armed with a recoilless cannon. These inexpensive vehicles, based on civilian space pods, were created to provide fire support for the Federation Forces' GM mobile suits. Large numbers of Balls are deployed during the Federation's assaults on the space fortresses Solomon and A Baoa Qu.

Full weight: 25.0 tons

Armament: 180mm cannon
RGM-79 GM
The GM - pronounced "Jim" - is a mass-produced version of the RX-78 Gundam, introduced just before the end of the war. In order to reduce its cost, the GM omits the Gundam's expensive Luna Titanium armor, Core Block system, and spare beam saber, and substitutes a short-range beam spray gun for the Gundam's beam rifle. Still, it's an effective close-combat mobile suit, and in the final campaigns of the war the GM turns the tide in favor of the Federation Forces.

RX-75 Guntank
The Guntank is the third variety of prototype mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation. Lacking legs and hands, this crude mobile suit is relatively immobile and can't defend itself in close-range combat, and is thus used mostly for long-range artillery fire. The Guntank is initially manned by driver Ryu Jose and gunner Hayato Kobayashi, and is later modified so that Hayato can operate it single-handedly from the head cockpit.

Base weight: 56.0 tons
Full weight: 80.0 tons

Thrusters: 88,000 kg

Sensor radius: 6000 meters
Armor materials: Luna Titanium alloy
Armament: 120mm cannon x 2
quadruple missile launcher x 2
Pilots: Hayato Kobayashi , Ryu Jose
RX-77 Guncannon
The Guncannon is the second model of prototype mobile suits developed by the Earth Federation. Designed for medium-range support, it's equipped with a pair of shell-firing cannons in its shoulders, and can carry a beam rifle for additional firepower. While the Guncannon's heavy armor means it doesn't need to carry a shield, its greater weight makes it less agile than the Gundam. Only one Guncannon survives the Zeon attack on the Side 7 research colony, and it's soon assigned to civilian recruit Kai Shiden.
Head height: 17.5 meters
Base weight: 51.0 tons
Full weight: 70.0 tons
Generator: 1380 kW
Thrusters: 51,800 kg

Armament: 60mm vulcan gun x 2
240mm cannon x 2

Gundam RX-78
The Gundam is one of three prototype mobile suits secretly developed by the embattled Earth Federation. After suffering tremendous losses to Zeon's mobile suits earlier in the war, the Federation set out to create its own, using the very latest advanced technology. The Gundam is the most successful of these prototypes, a close-combat mobile suit protected by tough Luna Titanium armor, and armed with both lethal beam sabers and a devastating beam rifle as powerful as a battleship cannon. It's also equipped with an advanced computer which learns from its pilot, ultimately enabling it to operate the Gundam automatically. In the hands of accidental pilot Amuro Ray, this one prototype mobile suit proves to be the equal of any Zeon weapon.
